Baillie Lumber needed a new printing system that would integrate into their existing manufacturing process and perform at high speeds in a harsh environment.
Baillie Lumber's new printing system needed to be strong, reliable, easy to use and seamlessly tie into their existing production line.
Winters are cold in upstate NY and the plant is isolated. Since the mill isn’t climate controlled, anything Baillie Lumber purchased would not only need to withstand freezing temperatures but also continuously run for up to 16 hours per day.
The new printer needed to be easy to maintain and their new vendor needed to be able to support the unit remotely.

In 2018, Baillie Lumber purchased a REA JET DOD 2.0 Large Character Inkjet Printer for their production line In Smyrna, NY.
Soon after, one of REA JET’s certified technicians was able to provide on-site integration and training. The system integrated with their lumber grading system and marks each board with a letter-grade so that they can accurately be sorted and bundled. Ballie’s system uses REA JET's Titan controller which seamlessly connects with their legacy system. The IP65 rated system is durable, dependable, and adaptable.

Baillie now has an industrial coding and marking system that consistently performs in unforgiving environments.
Baillie Lumber uses the new system to print a grade stamp hardwood lumber after it is dried and the new system saves time by streamlining the process.
