Muehltal, October 20th, 2017 – Effective coding and marking of products represents a significant challenge for the metal working industry. Heat, dust and moisture can affect the process. At this year’s Blechexpo, REA will present sturdy coding and marking systems that can cope with such conditions. Moreover, they are fit for Industry 4.0, can be integrated into existing infrastructures and boost networked production.
In addition to state-of-the-art interfaces for fast data exchange and simple integration of printing systems into machines and networked production environments, user-friendly operation of industrial printers is an important success factor. With the REA JET TITAN Platform, REA developed an innovative, revolutionary operating concept. Once the operating logic for an ink or laser based system is learned and understood, other REA technologies can also be operated without further training. In addition to cost and time savings, the risk of human error has been reduced significantly thanks to the uniform operation concept.
In harsh industrial environments, REA JET systems can be operated via the robust push-turn jog-dial input terminal – even with gloves. Moreover, control via a modern 15 “touch display and via keyboard input directly at the production line is possible. Thanks to the already integrated web server, the systems can be operated via tablet or smartphone through any browser. The VNC server, which is also integrated, serves as a remote maintenance tool for diagnosis and assistance if required – from anywhere.
Full Unicode support allows for printing in any global language. True Type Font support (TTFs) offers maximum design flexibility for print texts.
At Blechexpo, REA will be presenting the latest generation of their reliable large character inkjet printer. The REA JET DOD 2.0 impresses with high speed and significantly improved durability. The previous speed potential has been doubled to 600m/min. At the same time, durability of the print heads has been increased notably. Thanks to new high-tech material, wear and tear is considerably reduced. Additionally, production precision has been optimized by new processes. Thus, the sturdy printing system with IP-65 protection class has been further improved for harsh impacts within industrial environments. High-contrast pigment inks complement the portfolio. REA provides fast-drying, excellently adhering, colored MEK inks. Moreover there are special inks that can, for example, infiltrate an oil film on metal sheets for producing an easily legible marking.
Especially for captive marking of metallic surfaces, REA JET provides the REA JET FL Fibre Laser which is consumable and virtually maintenance-free. It marks products rapidly and cleanly. Applied codes, logos and human readable text are thus permanently legible and almost indestructible. The high beam quality and energy density of the REA JET FL fiber laser guarantee excellent legibility of even smallest signs. That allows for a perfect direct part marking (DPM) of metallic components. The REA JET FL fiber laser is available in three power classes (20W, 30W and 50W). REA JET ink and laser systems are comfortably controlled via the uniform operating concept REA JET TITAN Platform.
At Blechexpo, REA JET will also be presenting its portfolio of spray mark systems for quality, weld seam and defect marking as well as for the application of cutting lines.
