Illinois-Based Citadel Industries Acquired By Green Bay Packaging

Citadel Industries, a manufacturer of custom pressure-sensitive label materials and tapes for industries including construction, medical, retail and direct mail, was recently acquired by Green Bay Packaging Coated Products Operations according to news reports.

Products offered by Citadel include film, pattern, and CB (carbonless-backside) liners along with full-coat and self-contained CB liners.

Citadel Industries’ founder Jim Boddy said of the acquisition, “With the resources of Green Bay Packaging to support us, we can reach more customers with a greater range of pressure-sensitive labels.”

Green Bay Packaging Coated Products Operations involves labels created using removable adhesives in an array of structures including reclosure, general purpose, specialty, Kiddie Stickers, and ultra-removable microsphere. Specialty adhesives are commonly used on stickers used for application to doors, windows, cooler doors, etc. Ultra-removable microsphere adhesives can be used on smooth substrates, plastics, metal, corrugated, glass and other surfaces.

Green Bay Packaging is headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
