Mactac Roll Label recently announced the company’s entrance into the craft beer labeling market through its launch of a new line of craft beer labels specially formulated with a wide array of finishes and facestocks. The all-temperature, pressure-sensitive paper and film labels are suitable for bottle or can applications and are available in white, clear, semi-gloss and chrome films.
According to news reports there are two adhesive technologies used, both ideal for damp or cold environments, elevated temperatures, and for their water resistant properties. One of the adhesive technologies is the CHILL AT hot-melt rubber adhesive, an innovate new technology used by Mactac in designing craft beer label solutions. The other is Mactac’s 640-AT acrylic adhesive. Both maintain aesthetic appeal and adhesive integrity even when exposed to moisture or water.
According to Mactac Performance Adhesives marketing manager Kim Hensley, craft beer brand owners know the importance of persuading prospective customers with a certain look that stands out on the shelves. Hensley says from textures and specialty inks to varnishes, vibrant colors and a “no label” look, brand owners are focused on the perception of quality their products offer to consumers.
For short- and medium-run label jobs printers and converters will benefit from Mactac’s Precise Program which makes it possible for clients to enjoy the value-added option of ordering less materials for smaller runs.
