Mühltal, 15th May 2019 – Automation, networking and the associated efficiency gains for industry and trade are the main topics at LIGNA. Digital product identification is a key factor in optimizing manufacturing. Since 30 years the coding and marking specialist REA JET cooperates with the wood processing industry, is a member of HPE and offers a wide range of products for timber marking with ink, laser and labels. All solutions are customized and seamlessly integrated into the manufacturing process.
At LIGNA, REA JET will be presenting contact-free wood marking with ink and laser, such as CE and IPPC marking. All coding and marking systems are controlled via the single operating concept REA JET TITAN platform and meet the requirements of industry 4.0. Networking and communication with other components is therefore possible without any problems.
An absolute innovation is the REA JET GK 2.0 high resolution piezo inkjet printer, which will be presented for the first time at the trade show. It provides a considerably higher printing speed than the previous model, a horizontal resolution of up to 1200 dpi and is ideally suited for high contrast, sharp-edge marking and coding of absorbent materials such as wood, cardboard or paper. The direct marking of products is a cost saving, flexible alternative to labeling and pre-printed cardboards. With just one print head, multi-line markings can be applied at variable heights of up to 100 mm. Texts, numbers and graphics can be freely combined.
The large character inkjet printer REA JET DOD 2.0 is ideal for marking large areas. One example is the application of large logos on stacked wood to increase brand awareness. The proven and robust printer is continuously being improved: wear has been reduced by new high-tech material and higher manufacturing precision, the printing speed has been doubled to over 600 m/min. The DOD 2.0 enables fast and precise marking of absorbent and non-absorbent materials such as wood, steel, concrete, plastic and paper. It is also equipped with an integrated remote maintenance tool and a web server.
Visitors will also see the REA JET HR inkjet printer and the consumable free CO2 laser REA JET CL. Both are ideal for printing serialization and traceability codes. Depending on the surface condition and production stage, spray mark technology or labeling solutions are the suitable system solution.
