TLMIs Annual Meeting was recently held in Florida, and one of the highlights of the meeting was naming the TLMI Converter of the Year, Consolidated Label President Joel Carmany, who bought an emerging label company located in an outlying area of Orlando, FL more than three decades ago. Carmany was presented with the honor by TLMI in conjunction with packagePRINTING magazine, according to news reports that claim Carmany stands at the helm of one of North American’s most profitable, prominent and narrow web packaging companies.
At the time Joel Carmany purchased Consolidated Label, its sole application was hot-stamped pressure sensitive labels. The company was one of the first label-printing providers based on the Internet at the time, one that Carmany and his son, David, had the vision to understand was capable of providing innovative, winning solutions to online ordering capabilities in the label converting industry.
One of the country’s largest manufacturers of pressure sensitive labels today, the company currently operates a manufacturing facility that comprises approximately 170,000 square feet and focuses on various markets including food, beverage, health, household and promotions labels along with services which include flexible packaging, barcode and other specialty labels, digital and flexographic printing techniques, and more.
Dan Meunzer, President at TLMI congratulated Carmany on winning this honor and said that he could not think of a more deserving TLMI converter.
